A Static IP Address an IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) that never changes. This is different from a dynamic IP address, which is the standard provided by ISP’s and assigned whenever your device connects to the Internet. Often times with a new IP. A constantly rolling IP address is fine for general internet use. Connecting sensitive and secure server equipment a static IP should generally be used.
